The Valley Mirror
Home

The Valley Mirror began publication in 1981, but greatly increased its circulation in 1999 when it merged with the 87-year-old Braddock Free Press.

Our 19-square-mile readership area, in Pittsburgh's south-eastern suburbs, is home to 42,000 people, many of whom are descendants of the European immigrants who came to the Monongahela Valley more than a hundred years ago to find work in the steel mills.

The Mon Valley has a proud history of steel making but is now at the beginning of a dramatic revitalization, spurred on by a $300 million transformation of the former Homestead Steel Works site into a prestigious shopping, dining, living and working complex called The Waterfront development.

Located only minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh, the university district of Oakland, and the Parkway East and future Mon / Fayette expressways, the Mon Valley is poised for a period of rapid growth.

The Valley Mirror, the official newspaper of record for nine municipalities, is the lowest-cost advertising medium in this dynamic market place. Our talented graphic artists are ready to help you get your message out to our 12,000 readers.
